Digging the Free Agent for a RB?

So your running backs have a bye week. You are so far ahead in you league and you want to show everyone just how much of a guru you are. Or maybe you are so far out of your league and you need to grasp at straws to try and regain some status.

Well have I got a straw for you.....Jerome Harrison.

He only has a handful of carries and is playing third string on the Browns. So that doesn't make you drool. How about this....Jamal Lewis is questionable and since they are playing the Rams I don't see the real need for them to rush him back to the lineup. Second string is the perennial hall of famer Jason Wright. He is a lifetime practice squad soldier.

FANTASY IMPACT: Seems like a good time to bring in the 145th pick in the 2006 draft. He is undersized with decent speed. Just google the footage of how fast he ran away from Washington State. With Lewis in a boot and Wright only showing flashes, Jerome may very get his chance to show why he was drafted in the first place. Remember, Tom Brady, Tony Romo, and even RB Terrel Davis were all picked beyond round 5. Heck, WR Jerry Rice was a blip on the map, taken after Round 9 and WR Rod Smith wasn't drafted!!!

Don't get me wrong, if you are in the thick of your league and can't afford to take a chance, stop reading now. However if you are in it for some fun, remember....this is supposed to be fun, take a chance on Jerome Harrison. You will either look like a genius, or you can blame it on some know nothing. So go a head....live dangerously. But only if Jamal Lewis is in street clothes on Sunday. If he puts the pads on, please disregard everything you just read.

Sincerely,

Leroy the Fish
