Who'da thunk it? Not I and certainly not Chris Chambers. Late last night, just hours before the deadline, the MIA offense cleared some payroll space and opportunity for their youth as they traded away Chris Chambers for a 2008 2nd round draft choice.
Far be it from me to understand what Cam Cameron is doing, but at least he isn't lying abou what he intends to do (Nick Saban)...
For Chris Chambers AND for the San Diego offense, this should be great news. Phillip Rivers now has L.T., Gates, Chambers, and VJax to get it done with...
I really think that this is going to bolster their chances to turn around their season and make something for themselves. This is an excellent move for SD...for MIA... only time will tell.
FANTASY IMPACT: Not only will this increase the value of Chris Chambers but Phillip Rivers owners (including myself) are literally doing back-flips. This will open up opportunities for L.T. as the offense can not better spread the field. Vincent Jackson will benefit as he can go from young No. 1 to "high ceiling" No. 2 wide receiver. Gates won't mind, but Gates owners may... expect at least 3 touches less a game and even more with L.T. more likely to come out of the backfield.
